The Dragon-Clan

The Dragon-Clan, the most infamous clan in Dunland and the second most known as well as the most powerful. With many small settlements and large numbers of men and women. With the power of Isengard and Saruman behind it, it is one of the strongest clans in Dunland.

The settlements

There is no main settlement of the Dragon-Clan in Dunland but there are plenty of settlements, both large and small. There is plenty of camps and even a small village named Gwâl Draig that lies in Thror's Coomb in Enedwaith.

There is another rather large settlement just outside Galtrev, hidden in the woods past a boar and wolf den. Here many dunlendings with their captain lurk with some wolves skulking about the camp as well. There is also the White-Hand Outpost near where both Half-Orcs and the Dragon-Clan stay.

Another settlement is near Tur-Morva, where the Falcon-Clan stay. Here the Dragon-Clan stay and live, often going out to raids taking the Falcons with them.

Allies and enemies

The allies of the Dragon-Clan are the most powerful as they are the most powerful. The White-Hand is their main leader and ally, the White-Wizard of the Tower helps them with his army of orcs, Uruks and Half-orcs. Another strong ally is the Falcon-Clan, who join in on raids on the rohirrim and other clans. The Ox-Clan are also considered allies but not as strong as the Falcon-Clan.

Their enemies are all of those who are against the Old-Man; The rohirrim, the Boar-Clan, the Algraig, the Stag-Clan and the Avanc-Clan.

The warriors

The warriors and all of the Dragon-Clan can usually be distinguished by the red war paint used as well as red-painted furs, alike a dragon's fire. The warriors, wearing red war paint as if there were claw marks, some of them as if it was fire burning their face. The Dragon-Clan warriors are the best when they have their most favourite weapon; fire! When raiding and fighting, their main tactic is to use “the fire of the dragon” and burn all that stands in their path, be it huts or fields. They also like to be quick and damaging in their attacks, rushing the enemy and trying to kill them as quick as possible.

Festivals/Sacrifices

As all the other clans, there is the annual festival to remember the history of the dunlendings, for the Dragon-Clan, it is known as The Festival of the Burning Dragon. Here they recall the history of their old lands, the rohirrim and also about the White-Hand and how they helped in their success so far.

Sacrifices are often made in times of need and in war, in front of a large dragon shrine is where they meet their death. In times of winter, they sacrifice for food to come their way. In times of war, they sacrifice to be strong against the Flax-hairs.
