War in the North: Prologue:The Beginning

We were resting in Delossad, me, Styr, Werlok, and Chisik were resting by the fire. That was what we of Munso usually did, though, taking a night or five in one of the ruins in Rhudaur, and then piss on off to the next. We just defeated one of the Chieftains, absorbing his tribe. Gorlakon though, Gorlakon was making his rounds, gauging the new folk. That is when the red rider came, He did not seem as anything significant, but he must've assumed correctly who Gorlakon was..We were all expecting to rest the night, but Gorlakon had strict order, to march for Garth Agarwen. Turns out to be a meeting of sorts with all the principal nobles..I've only been to Garth Agarwen once, though. The One-time great fortress of the Kingdom of Rhudaur, now a husk of it's former glory..

As we marched, we bumped into several of the smaller tribes that also were making their way to the fortress-city, but when we crossed the Last Bridge, when  we actually went past the Red Pass..Red,Creoth, and other tribes..All were here..The sight was just grand, to see this many folk in one place. The Chieftains were all fierce men, as were their warriors and champions. Though that aside, the women too, the women were gorgeous, and clad in leather and iron, ready to prove their name.

Night. The meeting came together, all the folk crowding around the Dias. Only the chieftains and their champions were allowed on the dias, as was Temair. We all could see Ivar, though, peering down at us from the battlements. The Gloom-Waters kept on pacing, and disappearing, though we paid them no mind. What mattered was the fate of Rhudaur. All of the nobles wanted to band together, and rebuild Rhudaur..Though the way to do so was disagreed upon. Nearly all wanted to join Angmar once again, as it was rising in power. Gorlakon stood alone in that Rhudaur ought to be an independent nation...

Later. After the meeting, all the folk were settling in to sleep. Gorlakon was seen descending from the steps, down from the inner Keep of Garth Agarwen...That is when several of the other tribes assaulted the tribe of Munso. They rushed us as we were sleeping, a large number of us falling before we knew what was happening. Me and some of the others were holding our own though, with axe, spear, and shield. Gorlakon was rushing into the fray, burying his axe left and right, slaughtering sons of Chieftains, champions, But there were so many..We managed to puncture a hole in their ranks, from which a small surviving few managed to escape. Gorlakon led the remaining twenty, out of two hundred, to the Red Pass..Though the rest of the hillmen were hot on our heels..I and the rest bid Gorlakon to leave us, to escape, while we held the pass..

He at least lives..
