Aye, with Yule a fading memory, it's time to don yer warmest clothes and waders, grab yer rod and join the Shire Angling Club in Staddle for a fishing event that's not to be missed.
The catfish of Staddle are lurking in the depths and waiting for the skilled angler who will tease them out. The competition is open to all, regardless of fishing skill. No need to register, just turn up on the day and see Ponso to be included. Don't be late if yer want to secure a good spot pond-side.
As usual there will be music and refreshments and fun while we are waiting the results. This year marks the first ever Staddle Catfish Prize for the biggest cattie pulled out. The weigh-in will take place after all the other prizes have been given out.

Fishing Match and entertainment organised by the Shire Angling Club, 5 Harrow Road Bramblebury, Shire Homesteads. If you're passing pop in and see our museum!
Hobbit-led open event. Fishing will be done in raid groups with the catches being logged automatically. If you want your prize, be prepared for a wait after the event, during which there will be music, dancing and refreshments. Unclaimed prizes will be sent by quickpost.
