To Avenge A Father

 

All Chaney had to do was wait until Basaran and Catilyn had retired for the evening, and then she would be able to exact her revenge on the murdering scum whom had taken her father’s life all those years ago.

 

They wouldn’t even know where she was heading. She would be long gone by the time they discovered her missing from the hall. Time was of the essence and so Chaney prepared…

 

After what seemed an age both Basaran and Catilyn retired from the Hall. This would give Chaney her chance to leave unseen and uninterrupted. She quickly and quietly gathered her belongings which was merely her satchel and hooded cloak and silently and swiftly left the Hall and headed for the stables outside to retrieve her horse Bertnar.

 

In the gloom of darkness Chaney heard voices from around the far side of the Dawn Hall, and when these dissipated she very cautiously got Bertnar moving and down through, and out the front entrance.

 

 

Chaney made her way swiftly upon her steed through Towerglan and out into the Breeland. She brought him to a halt briefly atop a mossy mound overlooking The Midgewater Marshes. She turned back and gave a glance toward the lights of Towerglan and saw that no one had followed and so pressed on toward her
