A Perchant for Bunnies

"Bunny!!" The blonde headed toddler giggled, racing after the rabbit in the field.  Her mother shook her head, smiling, as she raced after the little girl. "Come back here Desiare, leave the rabbit alone. She may have babies to go home to and feed.

Desiare squealed happily, the thought seeming to only spur her on. "Bunnies!! Want to see babies!" Her tiny legs carried her as fast as they would go, as her mother raced to keep up with her.

Laughing, the woman followed after her child as the precocious little girl led her on a merry chase. Her dark blonde hair flowed behind her in the breeze, long and loose, like wheat waving in the fields around them.  After a few minutes, she finally 'caught up' to her daughter and scooping her up in her arms, spun her around as the child laughed in delight.

"Come on, little one, it's time to go in for supper." she said, hugging the squirming child to her as she turned to make her way back to the house.

Looking in the direction she had last seen the rabbit, Desiare pointed. "Bunny, momma! Want bunny!" she said, a pout on her lips.

"You spoil that child entirely too much," said a deep male voice from off to the side.

"Really, Allirin, she's just a baby." she replied, turning to her husband.  "She'll grow out of it as she gets older."

Her husband huffed, his dark eyes gazing at his wife and child in exasperation.  "She'd grow out of this fascination with animals a lot faster if you discouraged it more often. As tis, she's chasing every hare, squirrel and doe within a 20 meter radius." But he leaned down, kissing his wife on the mouth, as they entered the house for supper.
