"It was but fortune that brought me to this town, Bree as it is called. I read about it in some books back in Dol Amroth, in the old archives. A town seen as a meeting centre for the three kingdoms of old, Cardolan, Arthedain and Rhudaur.
And indeed, what a town this is. Barely a week has passed since my arrival here, and yet I have learned a lot about not only it's people, but also foreigners, visitors from all corners. It was here that I caught the first glimpse of an Halfling. A merry bunch they seem to be, and I still seek to learn more about them. Also, there are a fair bunch from the Horse-Lords, our allies from the North. Yet, what pleased me the most was to meet one of the fair folk of the Eldar. Fortune brought me to see such a fair face as the lady I met had, pale and beautiful did she sat there, and with a glance that seemed to dig down deep within my soul. And most noble she was, and sympathetic to one who had never been around one of the Elves, and yet comes from a city where it is said it's folk has elven blood within it's veins. Aye, I do speak their language, and I know my ancestors for long have been serving the Silver Swan banner, but is what the elders say true? She spoke to me of a place, Imladris it is called, far East of here. It seems to be a wonderful place, and I shall not perish from this world without setting my eyes upon it, aye. And today... today was an unsettling day, and I still can't believe what I saw.
I met an Elf in the Prancing Pony, one I obviously assumed it was one of the kin of the Eldar. And yet he seemed to be a queer fellow to me, his words somewhat unsettling at times. And yet this city surprised me again, for the Elf was none other than one of the Avari... The "Unwilling", as the elders call them back in Dor-en-Ernil. As fair as those of the Eldar he seemed to me, and a wonderful tale he told me and Miss Iselde.
What else can this town offer me?"
