The Little Fox

Nimeway spends a lot of time at the ruins above Starmere Lake.  One day as she sat upon the ruins, she watched a little fox play on the edge of the stones.  Nime sat behind the bush with her back against the column of the ruin.  She watched the little fox run around, swatting a pebble before pouncing on it.  The fox was fully grown, but something about this particular fox was quite childish.  He swatted the pebble and it flew off the edge, the fox tumbling after it.  Without a second thought, Nime leapt to her feet and ran over to the edge.  On the ground, there was the little fox yelping out, trying to stand to his feet.  Nime quickly ran around to the stairs and rushed over to the patch of grass the fox laid sprawled out upon.

Luckily for the fox, Nime knew how to heal and was able to inspect his paw, finding he had broken it with his playfulness.  Nime slid the fox into her saddle bag before mounting her horse and rushing home.  In her office, Nime tended to the wound, wrapping it up in a bandage and setting him before the fire to rest.

When Ross got home, Nimeway had left the house for a little bit, leaving the little fox in front of the fire napping.  It wasn't long before the fox fell in love with Ross and Nime, and chose to stay with the two.  He also managed to befriend Nime's dog, Baloo.  The two ended up naming the little playful fox Milo and let him live in their household even after he had healed.
