~~O fare thee well
My gentle stream where I dwelled by many ageless days
Flashing Silver under bright sun rays
Was my voice a-ringing
sounding Like a bell
Sad and sweet
Splashing with silver feet
Now it will toll like a knell
and Weaves a mournful spell
Bathed in sunlight or in shade
Do not forget your gentle maid
Where I would sit and charm
Fishes gold and grey
Singing my mournful lay
If a weary traveler find my falls
And if he hear my calls
May he sleep in woodland halls
Flowers fall and gently float
Like many golden boats
And waters sigh like silver notes
But now I must flee alas! Farewell farewell!
Do not forget the tears of fair Nimrodel
