Afried's Journal -- Entry #3: In Familiar Company

My dealings with the rangers have come to an end. I have now headed back to Bree, where I intended to plan my next move. I met with an old friend, the noble Saeldith, where she invited me into her home for a meal, and exchanged stories from our past. I still am baffled why she still chooses to lead a life which she dislikes so much, but I'm not one to sway her life's decisions.

I also encountered a young huntress at the Pony, a lively, youthful girl, much reminding me of myself in my childhood. After exchanging conversation, she brought to my attention a possible lead...and grim omen. Tracks of what the huntress, Willowine, believed to be a warg were spotted on the shores of the Brandywine. With her company, along with the keen eye of Shawe scouting from above, we able to track and dispatch of the beast, but this warg heavies my heart, to know a great beast was so close to innocent lives. She's a good huntress for her age, and will make a fine stalker of the wilds with the proper guidance.

Finally, I met an old acquaintance, a Breeland hunter by the name of Hartson, whom introduced me to his kin. A group of hunters, man and elf-kind as strange as that sounds, whom call themselves the 'Hunter's Quiver'. Speaking and exchanging stories with the group lightened my spirits, for the first time in a long time, and reminded me of home, back in Woodman's Town, back in Mirkwood. After a conversation with the band's leader, I was accepted into their fold. No doubt they will be useful at keeping the beasts of evil at bay.
