Chronicle Content
((This is a fairly old, thick, weather-beaten and leather-bound, brown tome which has been handed down for the last few generations of the house.))
((First page inside the book:))
This book of the history of our noble house was begun in the year 2782 of the third age, 2 years into the time of my grandfather's lordship of this land. The book was planned to record knowledge of our house for future generations. The maintenance of this book was taken up by my father, and has now passed to me. I have decided to retire the original tome and to replace it with a new one, but the first chapters of this book have been rewritten by my scribe from the original, which is now kept in my library.
I hope that future generations of my house will keep this tradition alive.
Lord Eogelwulf II, son of Eogelferth.
The year 2870 of the Third age.
I pledge to continue the good work of my father in maintaining this chronicle of history.
Halbrand, Lord Eogelwulf
The year 2934 of the Third age
I will continue the work of my forefathers in maintaining this record of our family's glorious history.
Eogelbrand, Lord Eogelwulf-
The year 2971 of the Third Age.
It would seem that the chronicle of our house is yet another object which I inherited due to my father's surprise announcement of his retirement. Knowing the great importance of history to a family like ours, I pledge to continue to follow my father's example and maintain this book. Halerwald, Lord Eogelwulf the year 3018 of the Third Age
