Report of the Prancing Pony Decapitation.
The following is my observations of what happened during the evening of the decapitation in the Prancing Pony.
I was having a drink with a female named Idnamm. It was the first time we spoke to one and another that evening and we had already gotten quite acquainted over a few pints of ale. During the peak of our enjoyable time at the counter I suddenly felt a blades edge against my neck. I froze and I heard a mans voice, which sounded quite influenced by the savages of Dunland, speak to me. He asked me whether I had anything to do with preparing and sending people of Rohan back home in order to aid their land. When I replied "yes" to him, he claimed that it worked against what his people was trying to achieve and that he would have to kill me for it. At this point Idnamm had drawn a dagger, lunging forwards from in front of me, taking the man a bit by surprise, burrowing her dagger into his side. As I am well acquainted with the bloodlust that Dunlendings achieve upon injury I took his momentarily surprise to my advantage, I reached for my sword and parted his head from his body.
It was messy, and blood was covering the ground. People had gathered around me at this point and I knew that if I didn't remove the corpse soon enough. I'd have Barliman losing even more income than he would need to. I picked up the mans remains and went to the back of the Prancing Pony. Here I could finally take a good look at the man who had threatened me. He was both dressed and looked like a Dunlending. I also found the note I gave to you on him, clearly stating me as a target. After this I went inside the Prancing Pony again, where I met with you watchman Thilech. The rest of the incident is already known to you.
May I point out that unless you and your watchmen can guarantee mine and my peoples safety while residing in this Town, we shall have to guarantee it for ourselves. And I will not hesitate removing more heads if I or those I surround myself with are threatened again.
Also let it be known that if you decide to fine lady Idnamm, I want you to put that fine on me. She was merely saving my life, and it would be the least I could do to show my gratitude for it.
