A Vision In A Season Of Change, Part 14

As she cared over him she found herself reflecting on her words. Last eve was no ordinary night...not for one moment!

She had been separated from her patrol by the thought she saw a image of man dressed in long robes walking among the trees and boulders. Surely he was a man she thought. But when she reached the land he had stood upon...he was gone. Than off in the distance she saw him again! She rode right to him calling after him but yet again he vanished before her very eyes. Before long she was lost.

Hours turned to days but off in the distance she always saw the image of what appeared to be a man haunting her ever step. It was if he toyed with her...never allowing her to see his full vision. She had run out of food and water. Than the night came when the wargs surrounded her. She believed with everything in her heart that her red day was upon her...her day to slip into the shadows, and join those who had fallen before her. She decided in her heart to meet her end with a war cry so she let out a scream that had never been heard from her lips before.

Than the sound of galloping hooves pierced the darkness as he rode right through the wargs that parted for him so he could join her. Within an instant he was off his steed and standing by her side with his bow drawn and an arrow ready to take flight. She heard him whisper, "Wargs!"

Together all the wargs howled as the foul voice on the winds gave what sounded like a command! In that instance she saw something beyond her understand...the Elf's eyes faded to pure white...no pupils...no colour...just pure white. He dropped his bow, he cried out in rage, and he pulled his swords out. She realized than...he could see nothing as his swords danced in ways she had never seen or heard of before.
