'She' being the warrior Lindelemacil; the dancer Silmennioma; the daughter of the Mourner Déniëlaurëa.
Can't think of where else to put it. Most befitting here as it talks more about Her and Her past rather than Her children Morielen, Alancala and Alanalassë.
Thoughts thought while having too much time in the train:
Why was She born so late? Unlike her brothers, She was born just after Beleriand fell. Unlike her family, she never had seen Valinor until She sailed to the Undying Lands in the Third Age. And the children of the Firstborn are rarely born in times of war, even more rare when there are siblings far older. So why was She born so late? Why did Her parents wish for another child? Perhaps they had hoped that the last battle would bring peace at last. Perhaps they had said: At least one of our children should be born in peace! and then they had high hopes for the outcome of all things. I could not think of any other reason right now.
But also: Why did She hate Her mother so? Was it because She was born without Her father, without Her brothers? Was it because all Her mother would share with Her was grief for all things that were lost? Or was it the desire to not lament on the past, but rather shape the future?
Who wasHher family anyway? Her mother, father and brothers were born in Valinor, they followed the Noldor across the Helcaraxe and did not participate in the Kinslaying of the time. The brothers, twins they were, were possibly not fully grown yet at that time. Her father was a pureblood Noldo, a craftsman that became a soldier in the folowing years, Her mother of Vanyain descent, though I can not say how far back the bloodline lies; was Her mother's mother one of the Vanyar? Or lies it back another generation, or two? Either way, from there comes the golden hair that was not passed unto Her brothers, but to Her and all children after Her line; and bright eyes She was given by Her mother, bright and soft green, and that, too, did She pass on to Her children. But also the line of the Noldor was strong in Her, and though She refused any art of healing and creation, She had a passion about the arts of war and a love for the greatness that the Noldor once had and seemed again to have with the founding of the realm in Eregion and glorious Ost-in-Edhil.
After escaping Her mother inHher youth and travelling to Mithlond, what did She see? How did Her love tome to be? A rebel to her mother but a foe to all enemies of the Noldor; fearless soldier, lady-master of all arms, but too fierce and too wild to be a grand captain dispite all Her great knowledge of all things in war.
How did She learn so much of war? When? And where? As guardswoman in Ost-in-Edhil She knew much alredy, and during its destruction She had saved many lives already and struck fear in to many hearts. How old was She? And where had She been before that?
-
What names was She born by? How did Her father choose to have Her named, what fate did Her mother see to name Her by? But She was born after Her father's death, a single child with only a mother. Did She have a father-name at all? What were the names of Her brothers and Her father? Is it important? Did Her mother foresee Her rebellious life, or was she fixed on lost things? Did Her mother still have hope at the time, or did her grievance come when She fled from Lindon for good? What profession did Her mother have, and why was Her voice all Her pride?
-
Her mother was perhaps a seamstress; I do not think she was a singer or dancer or a minstrel, but rather of less nobility and art that these other professions inspire. But why did She love Her own voice so, equal to all the love She had for war and battle? And why love the sort of war that destroyed most of Her family before She could even know them; or they know Her? The sort of war that gave Her mother such terrible grief? Why hate silence and peace so bitterly?
-
Why did She protect Her daughter from Her past, from Her deeds and tales and art and strength? Why did She wish to be a silent dancer after giving birth to Her daughter? Was it because of Her sons, the fear of losing Her daughter as She had lost them? Or the fear of Her daughter running off as She had done in the Age past?
And why did She remain to hate Her own mother, only sending note of the birth of Her children, but not how She fared, nor where She lived or when She wed? Was She ashamed? Of Her actions, Her rebellion, or Her heritage?
-
Fierce in battle, no foe could ever wound Her pride nor break Her will. Once beset with a task, there was nothing to match Her determination; She would do what She wished to, no matter the cost, be it wound or life, be it fire or blood. She would not fear being crippled nor fear the journey to Mandos; She cared naught for pain or suffering and cared naught when She would inflict the same.
She was cruel and proud and as respected as She was feared.
