The day was darkening and the rain was beginning to cease. The group proceeded forth for many minutes till they found a second Barrow, they have been going for hours without rest but still they wandered forth and delved inwards. As the previous it was cold and filthy, but this had a stair case that led down and turned many times, eventually the stairs changed from rock to wood and down they went till eventually they found flat ground and before them was a tall hallway with many different paths leading here and there. On either side of the hallways' path was a greenish water which stunk and hovering above there seemed to be many shapes of men. They were as green as the water and transparent. They seemed dangerous and of a kind that would attack so the company proceeded down the path of the hall way with caution. A few of the shapes run forth and attempted strikes but they were strikken first and when done so they spilt upon the floor and seemed to be lifeless as water should be. So then the company learnt that they can defeat these beings and put doubt and dread aside as they went forth.
Down few passages they walked and up many stairs, but they found nothing at all, only more watery forms. But it was soon that Eofeole found what he had been searching for, wights. That was when a sudden grin came to Eofeole's face and he accepted this challenge. Though to him they seemed weak and frail as the dead would be. He leapt forward and stroke at the creature with a spear. Many jabs he sent at the wight and other blows returned he blocked with his shield. After multiple jabs the wight eventually fell down and died as it should be. He sighed and felt disappointed and went on. The barrow turned out not to be very large. There were a few stairs here and there but it always led them to a dead end or always met with another path which returned to the main passage. The members split up, but not by the wishes of Eofeole. Bramson and Colson ran about the barrow, wildly hewing anything they found but Isaura and Threland stayed with Eofeole.
They wandered down a few stairs and came to the opposite end of the main hallway. They walked and suddenly Threland startled. He noticed someone and ran towards what was a woman, quiet and alone in the barrows. He spoke with her and he knew her. Eofeole seemed apathetic and just kept watch as Threland spoke to the woman. He discovered that she was pregnant with a child and that he did not want to leave her in the barrow, though she did not tell them how she came there and nor did they intend to question her of it. So, they waited for Bramson and Colson to return and eventually they did. So then it was they passed out of the barrow through the hallway which they came.
It was night and they were weary and cold. The rain had ceased and it was quiet and misty. The group now of six now did not yet intend to leave the Barrow Downs, they had not found what they had come for and they did not seem willing to leave till they found it. An hour or so passed when they had come to a path which led to a Large Barrow. The door was huge and inviting. So it was there which they set up camp and rested for a while. It was also then when woman which Threland had found in the previous barrow began to wander and he chased after. Eofeole sighed, he and the rest of the group set up camp and there they rested for a while. Till eventually patience was very little. Then the other two Bree-landers Bramson and Colson decided to go searching in the direction which Threland had left.
