After the Sworn Wanderers’ small victory in Trestlebridge, Avalong dismissed the troop so that she could prepare a meeting with one of their allies…a group known as the Red Dragons.
While Faridir and Earniel went their separate ways, Lefrinu offered to help Igarthel take the stray horses they rescued from the orcs to the Hengstacer Farm, where they could be properly trained and cared for before being returned to Trestlebridge for the guards. During the trip, the Rohanian took the time to teach the elf maiden how to ride such a noble animal. Though elves and men have a different understanding of animal cohabitation, Lefrinu did not falter under Igarthel’s guidance. Using her bonds with the earth to connect with the gentle beast, she bid it to follow the commands her friend taught her as they trotted, paced, raced and practiced jumping exercises. By the time they arrived at the farm, Lefrinu was so well bonded with the horse that it was decided that she would keep the steed. Indeed, Igarthel was impressed with her seemingly natural skill with the horse; his compliments caused the rather stoic elf to blush…which she attempted to hide by adjusting her hood…though as often as she was doing so, it probably gave the innocent expression away.
