After Adreles gave his report about the undead that inhabited the Ruins of Nan Dhelu, he was sent out to Rivendell to act as a messenger between Elrond and his sons at Thorenhad. As he was discussing Elladan and Elrohir’s plans on infiltrating an encampment of trolls in Minas Agot, Adreles caught a glimpse of a golden light and a silver gleam out of the corner of his eye. While Elrond asked him to wait while he sought Gandalf’s council, the elf hunter took a second glance towards the glimmer of light as it disappeared behind the doors of the Hall of Fire.
Quietly, he entered the room where the walls reflected the light that blazed from the large hearth at the other send. At the far end of a large dining table sat the huntress Adreles briefly encountered in the Lone Lands. However, she did not look so bold and fierce as before…now with her locks down, flowing like the garments that were nothing akin to the armor she had previously worn. A robust elf served her a light meal as she handed him a scroll she had been writing on. When he too his leave of her, Adreles politely stopped him at the door so he could discreetly inquire as to who she was. Rakesh, as the dark hair elf was named, explained to the elfin hunter that her name was Cerynitis. He found her in Trollshaw near the Thorenhad camp where it looked as though she had fought quite bravely against a stone troll that had been patrolling the area. However, she had taken a beating herself, and it was the combination of Elladan and Elrohir’s aid that helped to stabilize her enough for the trip to Rivendell. Under Elrond’s care, she was now on the road to a full recovery, during which Cerynitis spent her waking hours writing letters to her friends and relations in Lindon and Lothlorien…primarily inquiring about the status of the House of Valehaven. Elrond had explained much to her about the rise in Sauron’s power and the forces that were gathering under his name. With this information, she was making petitions for the House of Valehaven to take up arms, reminding them of the vows her lineage made to the Free Lands of Middle Earth. But for some of the elder blood had stronger ties to the Lands of Valinor, and could not resist the call back to their ancient home.
Though Adreles was unable to introduce himself to the Lady of the Taurlonde Family before Elrond summoned him to return to Thorenhad with a message, the hunter did silently vow to her that their paths would cross again.
