A Dream...

There he was... standing tall under the golden leaves, his shadowy hair draping over his shoulders.

There was a song of water and the elf stood still. From between the leaves in the sky, the Rammirath was shining and shedding its light on the elf's dark hair, breathing a luminious hue.

The elf did not turn around. Yet she knew that it was him, whom Lindeledhriel sought for long. It was him standing there, not noticing her.  Yet he stooped and looked into the water flowing. Rildheldiel wondered what he saw there. He turned around his face, now she saw him for the first time. An expected feeling of familiarity and warmth woke inside her, she wished to rush and hold him...yet dared not to stir.

Then the elf turned his face up, his hair flowing in the wind like the spread wings of an eagle... He looked up at the Nettled Stars and sang.

Rildheldiel awakened from her sleep with his song still in her mind, walked to the bank of Bruinen and sang under the clouded, starless night.
