Fear and shock came to us this evening..

 

We had just gathered at the Shelter in Hookworth to learn what Elwic Bearhunter knew about the elusive Shades Of The Crebain - When terror struck..

 

As our Grandmaster did not come down from his study, Baridi Brackenberry went to find him, and to let him know we were all present and ready.

 

What she found was an open window, and a parchment nailed to the table with a dagger..

The note read:

 

The Riddle of the lost Grandmaster:

 

~ Surprise, surprise.. No one is here.
Your loyal Grand Master is nowhere near.
I have him captured - his life in my hands.
You will have to search through fields and through lands..

The clues I will give you are simple and small.
Follow each step to find them all.
Start your journey at the gates of west.
Head to Dogwood’s farm and do your best.

On a stair at this farm, a bowl you shall find.
Sweet and delicious, red as wine.
Have a taste, be my guest.
Or search underneath and linger your rest.. ~

 

How could this be.. The Grandmaster taken, from within our very own Hall!

We immediately turned to the bearhunter to learn more - but Alas, his knowledge went no further then what we already had learned. The emissary had been masked the whole time.

 

We are now leaving for Bree, and the West Gate there to start our journey

May we find the Grandmaster alive and well.
