When Time is to Freeze...

When Time is to Freeze...

When all is silent, and time is to freeze,

And all life to fade to naught but a hush,

Will I still feel the cool winter breeze?

The winds are to wheeze,

And cough free upon broken lands nothing in their rush,

When all is silent, and time is to freeze.

When deathly and grey become fair seas,

With life, no longer aflush,

Will I still feel the cool winter breeze?

The creatures of ground and trees,

Will leave our idle company with nary a wave, nor a blush,

When all is silent, and time is to freeze.

When unyielding rock, once high and strong, are to ease,

And grow softly and plush,

Will I still feel the cool winter breeze?

For I know that I shall fall to my knees,

Seamlessly swept under and into the brush,

But when all is silent, and time is to freeze,

Will I still feel the cool winter breeze?
