Nightmares

I don't know where to begin, but I've been told by the inn keeper that I am not alone in this sort of trouble and that I may find some peace of mind by writing down what I experienced. I suppose I will start at the beginning:

"Father! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!" Fengdiel woke with a jolt and a gulp as she sat up right in her tent in Ost Guruth, breathing fast and hard as one does when they wake up from a nightmare, her words still echoing in her mind as she rummaged through her pack to find the leather bound book that is her diary and began to write in it.

—What do you see, Talgoy? —An odd voice speaks. Its voice doesn’t seems human, being too deep and with a raspy voice. After some seconds, Talgoy responds with a laconic voice.

Sounds ... they echo all around in the darkness; their direction indiscernible in the pitch blackness.  Slithering ... crawling ... the faint drip of water onto the stone floor below.  It comes for nowhere, and everywhere at once.

She's tired, but that's not anything new. She's been tired for almost a year. Tired and drawn since the kidnapping, and the baby inside her has only made it worse, keeping her awake with insistent kicks on the rare nights that the nightmares don't find their way into her mind. And, of course, the nightmares are back, if they ever left. She doesn't tell him when he asks. There's nothing he could do to help. They're her own demons to kill.

                Nimeway slipped into the warm bed.  She had snuck out earlier in the night, sneaking off for a simple ride to Starmere Lake.

((OOC Note: I have split this tale into three parts simply because I thought it would be easier for the reader to digest, it is the same tale though.))
