The company, led by Loegenel takes a rest within Drownholt, the vast swamp of southern Mirkwood.

Around Dol Guldur, there are many perilous places, and many dangerous areas.

But to enter the Drownholt even the Orks loath.

A vast swamp, reaching for many miles from Amon Angened unto the southern slopes of the Tower of Dark Sorcery.

The secret passage leads to the other side. Through the gigantic roots of an old tree, they exit the narrow darkness, breathing humid evening air.

They have entered the Drownholt by now.

With the Gostannon blocked by Ork forces, the company evades direct confrontation, wandering through an old cave east of Amon Angened. Passing the remnants of Orophers vanished kingdom, they arrive at a place with many boughs and roots. Loegenel pulls them aside, and a hidden path is revealed.

At Amon Angened, Rongal warns that the road leading east to Ost Galadh is watched and patrolled by the enemy camped at Gostannon. A new path must be found to deliver supplies safely.

From Amon Angened, where the elves have delivered more supplies, they can survey the landscape of southern Mirkwood and even see a glimpse of the Golden Wood across the Anduin.

The party from Lórien delivers their supplies to other outposts beyond Echad Sirion.
