Story
The sun edged lazily into the sky before his eyes, the dappled white clouds dissipating before the glare into blue sky. Even in the clear morning of winter, the air retained the warmth and humidity of autumn despite the diminished radiance. The light, not as bright as midday, hung beneath the canopy of the chesnut trees, lingering in gentle shafts between the fading bloom of the woodland like thick golden spider web hanging from the leaves.
