The company of the Bloody Dawn that had set out for Ost Guruth and Katnya had woken up in the Forsaken Inn, to Tim's side beside Gwyn and Basaran had Seaver and Ayla joined as well now.

I almost did not bring you, book. Nor any writing implements. I must take care not to wake the woman by my side. She keeps stirring, and I do not wish to have to explain your existence. It is an unusually quiet night in the Trollshaws but that in itself is ominous, I find I cannot rest, the memories of this place. The bank of the Hoarwell. They keep me awake.

The hill which houses the great hall once founded by a man I respected very much stands overlooking the whole village from it's vantage point. Even my house. There are many in this place that know me, or know of me. So why, did you then choose to reside in this place. As ever, I feel a pull in two different directions. One tugs me southwards in the direction of those Southern shores. But I also feel a desire to remain close by certain individuals. I informed the Captain's daughter of my desire for the former. I often feel as though I am a man with nothing left here.

Why do I feel this way?

As if there's nothing inside me...

Like I'm nothing but a shell.

I don't feel anything. At first I was sad, then angry and worried. But now I feel... nothing. I'm nothing without him. I know I shouldn't depend on him so much or well that's what pa-pa would say but...

Without him I'm empty. Perhaps that's why I'm looking for him, desperate. Business you said. The next evening you said you would return... but you never came home did you? 

Dear Diary,

It's been a while I know, but so little has happened till recently. The trail went cold on that Nighthawk woman or whatever she called herself. I sunk into boredom after that. Tim helped me a lot, talking to him always cheers me up. 

It's been too much this week I just can't take it. Uncle Basaran said I could go on the contract that Taala had got, but then she said no. And I finally worked up enough confidence to spar with Kat and she just beat me so easily. She's so big and I'm so small. It's so hard to fight against someone twice your own height and bodyweight, she's surprisingly quick with her armour and axe.
