Dhordur woke up early in the morning, when he had dressed up he walked up to his desk. There he looked a bit at his papers and his maps. He had been working on a plan to take the hot springs back for weeks now. At current state he could not spare any guards to take it, in other words it had to be up to him and two or three others.

An Unexpected Encounter

It was a restless night at the skirts of the Mountains Blue. We were seeking for rocks for future climbing with Ephendir, following the river’s bank. We heard vile voices in the distance, goblins… And there were dwarves yelling their war cries.

 

- What is this? A battle?

-Sounds like one. Have the heart to see?

 

The Siege - Red Mist in the Morning Light

The sound of slumbering dwarves echoed in the Valley of Thrain, like a hundreds of sawing logs or grumbling bears who were woken up from winter hibernation. It was a clear night, the sky was open and the light of the moon and stars cast a majestic glow and the warriors liked this, no clouds .. no snow .. no more shoveling. Many engineers had been busy in the past week after the caravan from Hilfar Uzraku Asjâr​ Othrikar had reached Thorins Hall.

Papers fluttered through the air like feathers from a beaten pillow, facial hair and hands waved in madness and then there was silence. Thogen sat at his desk in his humble home. His hand rested upon his tired head which had been going over reports that had been brought in by Khlosi and Byli. "Twelve Trebuchet .. ten Batista and ten barricades! They mean one thing .. war .." he spoke, two fingers rubbing the bridge of his large nose. With a frown he continued to read over the report out loud at times " Barrels upon barrels of weapon ..

The Siege - Prologue

After the days of summer started to fade and the festivities of Harnkegger had passed business around Ered-Luin shifted back to normal. Wagons came and went from the courtyard of Thorins Hall and many traveler and traders walked with good business and the trees had already started to change in colour. It had been hectic day for Thogen who had finally returned from his business outside of the lands and delegations of military business had finally caught up to him. Paperwork and other mail filled the mailbox outside his home like a bird filling a nest.
