Background
Fingeleth grew up in the western reaches of Gondor, between the stony valleys of the Blackroot Vale and the sunlit strand of Belfalas.
Her father is a merchant of Morlad, and her mother a music teacher from Calembel. As her father's trade expanded, the family moved from Morlad to Dol Amroth; but Fingeleth was raised to be a musician, like her mother.
As a child, she devoured tales of adventures in ancient times and distant lands, which she dreamed of seeing for herself; but her first voyage to see the remains of the legendary city of Fornost nearly ended in disaster, and she had to be rescued from the hands of the Orcs by Mornenion and The Black Steel.
On her return home, instead of giving up, she spent many months training in self-defence. Now she travels freely across the West of Middle-earth, collecting information on ruins and antiquities, and updating maps of distant lands for the Library of Saphadzîr in Dol Amroth.
