Her hair is gold and is rarely neat for this look fits her. Her eyes are blue and her clothes are always neat, she wears either a hauberk or a dress. Her favorite colors are those of bright shades or of dark ones.

She rarely opens conversations with people. She learned to look deeply in the eyes of the other person when talking, as she reveals more of him than the words that are spoken.

Background

Of old, Túriniel was born in Beleriand in the land of Nevrast. Her mother and her father were of the Grey-elves of the Falas. They dwelt in Vinyamar for many years before they moved to Gondolin, following Turgon.

The glory and splendor of Gondolin filled Túriniel with wonder and joy. During her long stay in the city she learnt from the Noldor the craft of making things in metal and in stones, but her heart would always go with weaving, the craft of her mother. She learnt how to hold a bow and to shoot with it, not many years of practicing passed till she became one of the most skilled elves with a bow. She fell in love with Rúthion; who was always supporting her.

In the spring of the year of the Nirnaeth was born her beloved sister Ellothil. Great love was given to her from her elder sister. Ellothil's interest was in music and soon she became a great singer. Her songs had a power to raise the souls of those who listen to it and Túriniel's heart was delighted when she hears her sister sings. Often Túriniel had talks with Ellothil about her days of old, of the woods of Nevrast and of the sea that her heart still yearns.,

As the shadow crept, and the hour of the doom of Gondolin was nearing its end. What happened when that befell, when the city was suddenly occupied by Morgoth hosts of orcs and barlogs, and of those who fought valiantly until their death, all were sang in songs and were told by the survivors. With those survivors went the two sisters and Rúthion's mother; following the secret passage under the leadership of princess Idril. They had lost their families and Rúthion was taken to Angband with other captives .... Gondolin became no more and the survivors, following the road southward, were full of grief, sorrow and tears.

Words would be unjust to tell how the survivors felt that day. Many had lost their families, their loves, and of all, their beloved city. Túriniel had a conversation with her sister along the road; persuading her, out of love and fear, to go West with Rúthion's mother, who decided to leave Middle Earth. Ellothil refused, knowing that Túriniel will stay. Túriniel surrendered to her will; and together they decided to stay in Middle Earth until time decides their leave.

The elves reached the Mouth of Sirion. Túriniel and Ellothil survived the kinslaying at the havens, the second and most sorrowful event they witnessed after the fall of Gondolin. They both went to the Isle of Balar with Gil-Galad and the survived host. Often Ellothil sang songs of lamentations for their losses. Her songs now lost its previous power but to bring tears to those who listen.

Túriniel's love for Rúthion was not forgotten. Yet, her heart trusts they will meet again.

In Lindon they joined Bar-en-Vanimar; the house of mostly the remains of the beloved Gondolin. Túriniel became a member of the order of the Arrow, one of the five orders of the house. And there, she called back her love for weaving, being filled with the memory of her mother. She took it as her craft until today.
