Tawrana was one of the Fatherless Nelyar that awoke in Cuiviénen . First seeing the twilight stars, he adored them alongside the forests of Cuiviénen. Oromë , the Great Rider, summoned the three tribes, the Nelyar, Minyar, and the Tatyar to live with the Valar in Aman. Tawrana refused the summons and the great Journey, thus becoming one of the Avari, nor did Tawrana see the light of the two trees thus making him one of the Moriquendias well.

Tawrana traveled to Middle earth, wandering and looking at the stars. Slowly, he came upon the Misty Mountains, crossing them and entering the region of Eriador. After some time, Tawrana had arrived at Ered Luin then Beleriand, wandering that region until he found Nan Elmoth. Upon finding Nan Elmoth, he dwelt there for some time, for his love of stars and the woods were great. He met Eöl, which was to an extent was the ruler of Nan Elmoth in the eyes of his servants, and for that he become one of his mysterious servants and one of his friends in Tawrana's eyes. Tawrana was slient, mysterious, and blames like his master does, the Noldor for their injustice. After some time, Eol was presumed dead, Tawrana grieved for the loss of his friend and master. He and Tinnurion with a handful of their kin, escaped the coming destruction of Beleriand, traveling east. When they had arrived at the Blue mountains they were invited to a Dwarf smith's halls, the smith gave Tawrana a hammer to forge his own blade which he named it Hyandil. By the Second age, as all followers should, Tawrana abides by his master's rules, shun the sun, travel in night, and seek the company of Dwarves, for he still abides by this rules this very day.
