| Outward Appearance | A Dwarf of many winters, Ralti remains as stout and proud as the most vigorous of his kind. His weathered and lined face is jewelled by the onyx of his eyes, which appear cold and empty in any light. A lengthy and well-groomed beard is accompanied by his dark hair (now flecked with grey), back into a single plait. Beneath his crooked and reddened nose, Ralti's thin lips seldom curl into a smile, for solemnity is his only known expression.
Ralti is known only to attire himself in dark, long robes. Beneath the padding of the thick and durable fabric, it is difficult (if not impossible) to discern the condition of his body; for better or worse. The great furs worn about shoulders distinguish him as a figure of importance, confirmed only by the the dignified manner in which he carries himself. Resting upon his plump finger is a wide and striking band of silver, wrought with the shimmer of moonlight. Upon it sits an squared signet imprinted with a single rune. Concealed within the enigma of his robe, it is rumoured that a sharpened dagger is ever poised, should the need present itself. |

Although born into obscurity, Ralti has served the Lord of Frithdal, an ancient city of in the Blue Mountains, as a councillor for many long decades. As the Lawmaster, charged with upholding justice and order in the realm, his mastery and intrigue and espionage have shrouded him as an obsequious yet shady figure. Ruthless, efficient and uncompromising in his methods, which seemingly defy the very laws he defends, Ralti has earned the fear and enmity of many in his struggle against treason and conspiracy. Few, however, could doubt his political capability and unwavering fidelity, which has established him as an indispensable advisor within the Frithdalian government.
Having long administered the city under Lord Salgalin, Ralti was recently appointed as the Steward of Frithdal by his successor, Lord Calgalin IV. With his position as chief councillor now confirmed and well-established, he is a formidable and seemingly indomitable figure upon the Frithdalian High Council. Yet there are still those who oppose him, plotting towards his final downfall and destruction.
