Troublesome news has arisen. The north-lands, past the Gladden Fields, and the Mountains; called Angmar, has a dictator.

The date of this entry; the Year 492, of the Third Age.

I listen more to the news of the outside world. Gondor, from what I hear, has been beset by ‘Easterlings’.

Cruel, Evil Men. They are brutal, and sack farms and villages; raping and slaying as they go! Gondor, I know, will be strong, and not falter.

And Arnor as it’s ally, surely it will defeat these ragabonds!

This is a Letter

The date of this entry; the Year 241, of the Third Age.

More tidings come everyday, and I am glad to hear that the twin-children are growing well. But more news, I hear! A third child is had, whom is named Arwen! From what the messengers speak of; Imladris is awash with celebrations.

This is a Letter

The date of this entry; is the Year 140, of the Third Age.

The Lady Celebrían, daughter of Galadriel and Celeborn, sends tidings from her new home; with Master Elrond. Elladan and Elrohir are growing strong, and they apparently resemble their father now in their current age of ten years.

They have so much to live, I feel. And even more so, I feel I will have business with them in the future

This is a Letter

The date of this entry; is the Year 121, of the Third Age. I have begun to think of how, if memory should fail me; words might keep my tale alive.

Thus, I have begun to track my progress, events and thoughts; in a logbook. Always, I will keep it with me.
It is precious; and in times when I cannot bear it, it will reside with the Scholars of Caras Galadhon, my friends.

My search continues.

Having had no luck in Bree or Combe, I decided to retrace old steps.

The first place I met him was in the ruins of the Brandywood, thus I travelled there as quickly as I dared. I am slowly becoming more confident with Arantha, but I am not yet ready to try any real speed with her. Alas, I found nothing of note in the woods or the ruins.

My next stop was the pond where he had used to visit me. It made sense considering he is the one who took me there in the first place. Alas, the result was the same. I found nothing.

Dear Mother and Father,

Rua said it would be a good idea to keep a record of what I am doing, so that when we finally meet, you can read about what I have been doing.
