Cousin Ivy,

As always I hope this letter finds you well.
As you may have heard, I've recently joined "The Hobbitry-in-Arms", and let me tell you, it has been no easy feat! They seem to have a tendency for trickery. You see, I was a key witness and victim, might I add, to this terrible trickery!

On me very first encounter with these (albeit) charming scoundrels, we were forced to... well, exercise. Star jumps were involved, cousin. It was truly awful.
On me second and most recent encounter, we were tricked with a picnic! How, you may ask?
You see, we were led on a wild goose chase through an, I believe it may be called an "obstacle course".
As you'd imagine, I was bursting to the seams with complaints! Although.. dare I say.. I rather enjoyed it.

Yesterday evening was a fine one. I'd found meself in the city of Bree.
No sooner had I stepped foot in the famed Prancing Pony, I was engaged in riveting conversation with a betrothed couple.

Big Folk, they was. Though the one claimed herself to be that of a "wild beast", very odd. Miss Beri, were her name.
A fine name I told her, for it reminded me much of berries!
Nonetheless, she had a most interesting decoration upon her face, it was quite something I'd never seen before.

Her soon-to-be wife was a slight quieter although that could possibly be explained by her dog, whose frightful howling interrupted much of the conversation.
You know, they were most kind towards me. Such a pity it was nearing bedtime.

Oh cousin, I worry I may find meself becoming rather.. adventurous.

Much love,
Cousin Dilly
