Goodbye to Bree

Ana finished loading up her horse as she looked over to Maerle.

“So, treat it as your own home.” She said with a slight sigh, looking over the home she had made with her husband. “I can’t say if or when we will be back, as Amaken is very much needed in Dale, so for the time being, that is where I shall be also.”

She continued to strap bags and packages to her horse.  “All I ask is that you take good care of it.  Ensure there is always food and wine available for visitors, and that there is always a bed or tent available to those that need sanctuary”

She went on to explain that she had set up an account in trust within the city vaults and all expenses for the house would be covered, so that Maerle did not have to worry about such things.   An advantage of her continued employment for the Company had ensured she had barely touched the savings that she had acquired from her work before returning to Bree.    She trusted Maerle to manage her property wisely.

“I will keep in touch with you, and I would appreciate it if you do likewise – I have become quite fond of the area, and will miss it I think – but I have put off leaving for long enough” she spoke with a sad smile in her eyes.

She got herself situated on her horse, and gave a nod to Maerle, before heading off to meet the small party that she was joining in order to travel to Dale.

As she rode down the lane, she looked over to the home of the Company of the East Road.   She smiled fondly as she remembered the good times she had shared with the folks there.

However, that chapter of her life had now come to an end and it was time to seek out new adventure.
