Chapter three, Guardian.
Again, I woke up underneath the same ruins. In front of me laid a piece of Bread. Everytime i woke up, there was a piece of bread. I even tried to stay awake to see who gave me that. But I didn't got any when I did. The only way I was getting any food, was to sleep. Though it was not hard to guess who gave me this, it probably be the same elf I met a week ago at the Southern gate.
So far I managed to explore Bree-town. Nothing special if you ask me, but still it had potential. I had to go home though, But how? I asked myself.
I went back to the prancing pony, not been there since my first visit. Once I walked in, I saw the same strange mustache man that was here before. He talked to some visitors. Behing the bar was a woman, giving drinks to customers.
Where did I start my search on how to get back. Shall I interupt the man who talked to me earlier? I did not had to ask myself. when he saw me he stopped his conversation and walked straight at me.
'You are not staying with family, are you?' he said. ofcourse he could've knew that, I looked terrible, wore the same clothes the whole weak and was red as a Tomato. Though I remained silent. he layed a hand on my shoulder, and pushed me through a hallway. We ended up in a room with a bed.
'Stay here for a moment' he said as he walked away again. I did as he said. Somehow I trusted this man. After a while, wich looked like forever. The woman wich was standing behind the bar came in with a plate. On it lied a bowl with warm soup, a cup with water, and some roasted pork.
'I don't have any money.' and I turned away my head.
The woman said nothing, Placed the plate on the floor in front of me while I sat on the bed. She took place next to me.
'This is from me' She said as she smiled. I looked at the plate and could not face the woman.
'where do you come from?' She asked me.
'From far.' I replied. The food looked delicious, but was it right?
'I bet you do. you look exhausted' she said as she stood up again and walked away. 'Eat it while it is warm, and take a sleep, the bed is yours for the day.'
I do not know what happend when the woman came back to take I look. I was already gone by then. I ate the food, and left through the back door. I ran towards the Southern gate. And when I came there, I saw the elf. The woman elf was standing at the gate with her back towards me. I walked up to her. She did not looked at me when I was close.
'Let's get going your Grandmother is waiting.' She said as she took the first step, before I could even look at her face.
'I Don't have any grandmother' I replied with a voice so silent, that it was possible it was the wind. But the elf had good ears.
'Yes you do, you only know her as your mother.'
My eyes got wide open. What did the elf woman just said? She was obviously lying.
'I can go alone, to my mother!'
'Don't you think she is a bit old to be your mother? Don't you think your grandfather is a bit to old to be your father? Don't you find it strange your grandfather is so distance to you? Don't you think even a man like him would leave his daughter? That is just because you are not his.'
The woman was right in all points. I knew that, but I denied to aknowlegde that.
'lier!' I yelled to her back. And at that point she turned around, on her clothes, or her right side on her chest, was a silver broche. The silver broche had the shape of a horse, A running horse, it even looked like it was really moving. I did not payed attention to the woman herself. Because, on the right side of my chest, There was the same horse.
I do not know why exactly, but I believed her at that moment. There are only two of those silver horses, and I never knew where the second was.
The elf walked towards me, bent over untill her mouth was near my ears. She whispered things. Those things she said, I would never forget.
