Combe and Bree are both too quiet for my tastes.
I am sure that native Bree-town people would say otherwise, but it is nothing that I am used to. Something was always happening when I was on the move, and even when I returned to the Lone Lands, there always seemed to be something new in Ost Guruth. As morbid as it sounds, with people constantly coming in injured or with tales of wargs and goblins and orcs, it was much more interesting there.
Most of my day was spent in the Pony. I drank and didn't really do much, Part of me wished that something big and tragic would happen, and I immediately felt awful about it. However, it seemed that Ebold couldn't resist making his way over to me once he saw me, and he actually was a little bit flirty. It took me by surprise, because he seemed quite distant and gruff when we first met.
We were interrupted by someone in his company, I presume, for she kept calling him Captain. He was quite rude with her, in all honesty, but I find it amusing more than anything else. I don't think she liked me. Ash I think he called her, but I just called her Lady. She had that kind of air about her, the kind that puts you on your best behavior, because clearly she holds respect. She has it from me, anyhow, even if I think she didn't like me.
I think it was because my clothes were dirty, she didn't seem like the type of girl that got bothered when she saw one of the men in her lives talking to another girl. I suppose that could be it, but I hope not, and I don't think so. I ended up leaving after that, I couldn't stay around much longer because I had business to attend to, but I kind of regretted it, and wished they had both shown up earlier. Would've liked to talk to him longer, and would've liked to meet that woman.
Next time, maybe.
