Melethaon's Journal: The Kinslaying of Alqualondë and the Burning at Losgar

Dear Journal,

It was quiet in Tirion, until Feanor had gathered many of us in the square, there did he deliver his speech of the Noldor being imprisoned by the Valar. I had took myself to believe this, as Laurelin and Telperion have withered, High King Finwe was murdered and the Silmarils stolen. What hope do we have here? if our own king is simply killed.

I took up arms and armor, traveling with the Host of Feanor northward. We had arrived at Alqualondë to attempt to barter for the Teleri's Swan-ships, as we had none to sail over with. When they had declined our offer, we drew our blades and took their ships by force, but it was not without great struggle, as the Host of Fingolfin had came before us and aided us.

We had attempted to Sail across the Helcaraxë. I only saw, besides our newly acquired swan-ships, chill mists and icy, sharp "Blades". We had arrived at Losgar, and to my surprise, Lord Feanor had ordered us to burn the ships, which we did.

That will be all I write for this day.
