I have recently been granted the right to carry the mighty drum Akladubeshêk. I, Nyr son of Norr am now the keeper of one of the greatest war-drums this side of the Misty Mountains! It is an honour bestowed upon me by my very own father, who was its keeper before me. It has survived three generations of dwarves and it has seen much use in marches and in battle.
This ancient drum is so large only few can carry it, let alone play it. I guess they figured I have the proper strength – aye belly too – to be able to play it. In Westron it is called Boneshaker, as each hit shakes every bone in the wielder's body. It is also said it bears an enchantment that makes every strike of our soldiers hit while it makes the enemy miss. That is no doubt but a myth, but it surely makes an impressive and menacing sound! Let foes beware, for the mighty drum Akladubeshêk will sound once more on the battlefield and shake their very legs into retreat!
