Eliad had walked into his camp in order to get last minute things. However, he heard heavy footsteps behind him. He stopped walking and sighed.
“I know you’re there…,” said Eliad.
As soon as he heard someone getting off their horse, he turned to face who it was. It was Alexzander, better known as Zander, a man clad in black and red with a mask to hide his mouth. Eliad knew of what happened to him. He knew of the unfortunate result of Zander losing his tongue due to talking too much in front of his father.
“Still working under my father?” asked Eliad.
Zander stared at Eliad for a long moment before making his way to the man while unsheathing his sword and dagger. Eliad moved to place his hand on his great sword, taking a step back.
“I don’t want to fight you, Zander,” said Eliad.
Zander grunted in a low tone, his eyes cold blank, and dead set to attack his target with whatever means necessary. As he got in range, he jolted his sword forward, trying to distract Eliad for a moment with that, then attempted to smack Eliad in the temple with the hilt of the dagger in order to incapacitate him. Eliad grabbed hold of Zander’s sword arm as he used his free hand in attempt to block the dagger.
“Stay your ground, Zander!” ordered Eliad.
Zander used more force in his arms in order to make Eliad struggle and get weaker, his eyes ever the same, cold, blunt, and ready to kill. Zander’s thoughts are elsewhere but his focues was on his target. Eliad took a step back as soon as he felt his hands slipping. He quickly unsheathed his blade before taking a defensive stance.
“Damn it!” exclaimed Eliad. “You’re not the one who I want to fight!”
Zander stared at Eliad for a long moment before sheathing his dagger and going in a fighting stance with his sword. He watched Eliad’s moves but remained silent. Eliad kept his gaze on Zander, taking a few steps back.
“I want to fight my own father,” said Eliad. “Not you. Not anyone else.”
Zander continued to stare at Eliad with the same ever waiting eyes and moved a step forward for each step Eliad took. Eliad gritted his teeth before moving his blade in order to pierce Zander’s fingers that held his sword. Zander sidestepped the sword quickly before trying to make a slicing move on Eliad’s left arm. Eliad stepped to his right quickly in order to try not to be harmed. He took another step to use the pummel of his blade in order to hit Zander’s face in attempt to make him stagger back. Zander was not quick enough this time and was struck in the face, making him stagger back. Eliad took this opportunity in attempt to tackle Zander to the ground and pin him down.
“[BS] I said, enough!” growled Eliad.
Zander allowed Eliad to tackle him down. As Eliad screamed and was focused on him, he moved his hand slightly to his dagger since his arms were pinned. He took the dagger out and attempted to nick Eliad. He stared at Eliad’s eyes with the same cold stare as he did this. Eliad glanced at him with widened eyes before feeling light-headed. The dagger was poisoned with something unknown to him. He moved to collapse beside Zander, falling into unconsciousness.
