Background
The Day's End Inn is your home away from home, friends! Located in the village of Oxbury in Bree-land along the Great East Road, Day's End is a respectable establishment with ample amenities and spacious rooms - boasting affordable rates for all incomes.
We're also hiring! Open positions include but are not limited to:
- Secondary proprietor (equal partnership)
- Assistant chef
- Barkeeper
- Guardsmen
- Serving lads and lasses
- Craftsmen
- Bards and entertainers
If interested in any of the above, please contact Babbette Bryony. She can be found at the Pony or the Day's End, or you can reach her by local post.
This section contains the general rules and idea behind the kinship. We would very gladly accept partnerships with other kinships with similar themes: merchant groups, mercenary bands, caterers, etc. so please contact us if you're interested!! Note: In order to stay true to the lore and customs of Middle Earth, no Elves will be allowed to join the kinship, nor will they be welcome as guests of the inn. Elves do not travel in the lands of Men, obviously! No offense is meant at all, and we apologize for any inconvenience.
The Day's End Inn is meant to be an alternative venue for people looking for good role-play and community events outside of The Prancing Pony. Since the Pony is often either extremely empty and boring or very crowded and annoying, we've attempted to make a more conducive and enjoyable environment. We just want to have fun, after all!
The house is open to the public at present and will remain so unless a scheduled event (that is, one that is not open to just anyone wandering by) is taking place - in which case the house will be locked except for the guest list (which will need to be given to an officer so that they may lock and unlock the house, respectively).
We expect common courtesy and respect from all players while out of character, and drama/fighting between characters must take place through the proper channels: asking the involved parties for consent first, etc. Private roleplay through means such as fellowship chat, private channels, or instant messaging is allowed and encouraged. In the case of adult content (suggestive and mature material, ladies and gentlemen) it is required to use the private chat options unless otherwise discussed with an officer.
