To my dear Child... - 2

*Quill and black ink on a single piece of parchment. The envelope is sealed shut, but there isn't a specific pattern in the seal, and it's simply addressed 'Our Child'.*

Dear child,

Hello, again. It's been some time since last I wrote to you. The healer that checks the both of us says that all is going very well, and I couldn't be more glad to hear it!

I suppose this one is where I would tell you about what your father and I do for a living, as well as about where we live.

To begin, you'll notice your father is a hired hand on a farm. But he doesn't do just farm work. Oh, no, he is also a hunter of some reknown. Your father turned to farm work when we learned you were on the way, but he does still hunt... just not as his primary source of work. In fact, he doesn't travel very far from home at all, anymore. He will gladly explain, later on.

As for myself, you'll wonder where your clothes came from, and... frankly, that would be my doing. I am a tailor... I make clothes for a living, and to make them for you, my child, made me all the more happier. I love my job, as it is, as much as I love you and your father. But to make clothes for the both of you... it just makes me love my job all the more.

I'm sure you'd also like to know about where you live.

To say the least, your father and I thought it best to move to the little village where your father helps with the farm work. It was a general agreement between us, so we moved from Whatflood--where we used to live--to... oh, I want to say Gravendore is the name of the new village we live in, but I don't think that's right. I will ask your father's employers when I see them next, hopefully when they're fully recovered.

That, my child, is something your father will have to tell you later on in life.

As for the animals... well, what farm is complete without animals? Cows, chickens, cats... dogs... wolves, even... and that's just to say the least of what animals are on the farm! I think you'd quite enjoy the horses and sheep, honestly...

Well, I should go for now, dear child... I hope all will continue to go as well as it does.

Until my next letter...

- Your mother
