Captain's Quick Report: Awarth's Opening Party
Most interesting... most interesting a time spent today, at Master Awarth's event to celebrate the opening of the 'Awarth's Freelancing Services' Office, in the settlement of Luddean, in the Bree-land. From a few slightly ghostly tales with lute and harp melodies plying in the background throughout the gathering, there was an air of subtle intrigue but gentle rising and falling of conversation amongst those attending.
There were notable figures and represented organizations and kinships present here, as far from this ol' Bree Captain could tell, most whom operate or have a strong presence in Bree-land and have garnered reputation over the years through their members; such as The Bloody Dawn, and The Bree Watch -- whom of the last I perhaps mistakenly identified a man too quickly as being part of when he walked into the office building.
Other, more recent organizations such as the upcoming 'Bretthera's Tailoring Services' also had a representative there, I believe -- with the business-owner there herself, Miss Bretthera, whom later would be the one to share a tale of quite dark-natured telling. An Elf whom seemed to stand quietly to the side throughout the activities reminded me of a description I'd recently been told of one particular Zalneth, whom if memory serves, is connected by some sorts to a group or kinship collectively advertised of late as 'Friendship'. And finally, there appeared a number of attendees later into the hours whom by appearance reminded me of the folk known to be part of the The Whispering Leaves, though my research hasn't bore much fruit on that organization, there members are said to be active and about in the land.
There too were individuals and groups which I was more familiar with directly; such as Master Silon from the Shire attending briefly for a time -- and lift my heart it did to be with him before his sudden departure -- and finally a Dwarf by name of Gaskaldir introduced himself as also being a member of the famed Blue Mountains Regiment, whom I know recently demonstrated an outstanding military display of drilling at this year's Archet Aid, and also were rumoured to have helped a travelling group of Hobbits passing their way through the lands of Eregion.
It was most interesting to be in the presence of such folk as did arrive for this opening party of the office building for Awarth's Freelancing Services, and a polite exchange with Master Awarth himself confirmed the nature of the organization and business could range from anything that such contracts might be paid for; often in the Bree-land this could likely include escort missions, contracts for both eliminating or protecting targets based on the patron's preference, or other stealthy-like operations that such a man as Master Awarth without a doubt, in my mind, seemed to be more than capable of carrying out successfully. The organization or individual whom hires through Awarth's Freelancing Services may well have chosen wisely a most reliable operative to carry out their wishes.
But the hour grows late, and a White Flames concert beckons tomorrow -- followed by a 4th Annual Haunted Burrow Ghostwalk just an hour after that, if my sense of time still holds true and has not been befuddled by the recent changing of 'clocks' of late at the least.
Attached to this early report for the Grey Repository Archives are several rough and draft drawings and sketches from tonight's event with Master Awarth and the opening of his office for the Awarth's Freelancing Services business. Congratulations.
