Khalis rapidly pulled his shirt down when Thendryt walked into view. Lilleduil was in the middle of applying some kind of salve to his chest and was abruptly interrupted by his movement. Khalis whispered something in Elvish to Lilleduil and walked out. He passed Thendryt in haste, flashing by him.
“What was that about?” Thendryt asked. Faorie cleared her throat but otherwise didn’t answer.
“Thendryt.” Lilleduil said. “Are you hurt? You know I always love stitching you up.”
“He’s always hurt, one way or another.” Faorie stated.
“Not at all, I simply came to see where you all went.”
“Curundar, let me see that arm.” Lilleduil said, taking her gaze off Thendryt. Curundar went over to Lilleduil.
“Did you get hurt Thendryt?” Faorie asked, seriously this time.
“Do I look hurt?” Thendryt responded.
“Always.” The seriousness disappearing as fast as it had appeared in Faorie’s tone as she left.
“Thendryt, make yourself useful.” Lilleduil said, gesturing to him to come closer.
“What do you need me to do?”
“Brace Curundar's arm.”
Thendryt grabbed the arm and forced it down to the table. Curundar wasn’t expecting it and panicked, as if he thought Thendryt was going to help Lilleduil amputate it.
“Gently.” Lilleduil snapped. “Just hold it down on the table.”
Curundar struggled as Lill started stitching, but Thendryt was having none of it. He tightened his grasp of the Elf’s arm, and glared the Elf down. His face was close, and he could see the uneasiness in Elf’s eyes.
“There you are. Worst over.” Lilleduil said. Thendryt released the arm in a flash, making Curundar jump one last time.
“Thank… You…” Curundar whispered, trying to slightly shy away from Thendryt.
“Let me dress this for you. And if it starts rubbing beneath the armor, tell me. I'll pad it some more.”
“I will.”
“If it starts to feel hot or inflamed, tell me. If you tear the stitches, tell me.” Lilleduil patted Curundar’s good arm. “You’re done!”
“Thank you, again.”
“Go get something to eat, Curun.” Lilleduil smiled at the Elf. Curundar turned to leave, keeping his head low as he passed Thendryt.
“Yes, off you go, Recriut.” Thendryt watched him leave then instantly turned to Lill.
“What was with the Captain?”
“Couple of ice spikes got through his armor.” Lill shrugged. “Nothing major.”
Thendryt kept his gaze on her, expecting to hear more.
“Scratches, as I said.” Lill continued. “Wasnt much other than ice. Now, if you don't mind, I haven't had the opportunity to even have a cup of tea.”
