Dear Mother and Father,
We are at the Pony again. I like the name. It makes me think of our ponies, Marshmallow, Peppermint and Toffee. It is nice to sleep in a real bed again. Mr. Butterbur said he heard there were more goblins around than usual. Rua told him about the goblin that came to our camp. He said Rua was mad for taking a child into the wilds. Rua said he knew what he was doing. He did look a bit angry so maybe Mr. Butterbur was right. Mr. Butterbur asked me if I wasn't scared. But I have been practising with my daggers. I can hit the target on the barn door now and I can fight with my daggers. I won't be afraid of any more goblins.
We went to the market today and Rua bought things for the trip home. There were lots of people and I held Rua's hand tightly so I wouldn't get lost. It smelled bad and was noisy. Everyone tried to sell us something. There was music. I liked that. Rua bought me a new dress. It is yellow with a red skirt and has a white apron. It is too big but I will grow into it. There were acrobats. They could breathe fire and juggle. It was very exciting. I want to learn how. Rua calls it clowntricks and not a worthy trade, 'Though 'tis entertainin' enough ta watch.' Tomorrow we are going home. I am glad. I am also tired. Good night.
