It was unlikely that Basaran would have known what he was letting himself in for when he walked over to greet The Grey Warden in the Prancing Pony.
Neyaa offered the man a warm smile as he approached their table, he was easy on the eye and seemed pleasant enough. It was not long before she climbed over the table and sat between Basaran and The Grey Warden and began to tease Basaran for being bashful.
The three of them conversed and jested a while as the mead flowed. She had every intention of asking the Grey Warden for help. Notwithstanding that he appeared to have an injured shoulder, he excused himself quickly, saying he had to meet with someone.
Basaran looked a little tentative when the Warden left, yet he was too polite to make an excuse to leave also. He seemed a little more relaxed in her company, and was beginning to get the measure of her sense of humour. "Do you have anywhere you need to be?" Neyaa eventually asked him. Basaran began to look nervous again. He was probably not expecting the next words that spilled from Neyaa's mouth. "I have a chicken coup to build, would you please help me?"
There was a pile of wood and wire in the middle of the main room in Neyaa's house, and the chickens were locked away in Taala's room, that would not bode well. Neyaa, smiled to herself, a few chicken droppings were naught in comparison to the mess Taala often left the house in.

Neyaa & Basaran built a fine chicken coup.
Other than crushing her thumb with a hammer, the building of the coup went rather well. That was until the time came to put the chickens in. One of them escaped and made a bid for freedom around the garden. Neyaa gave chase, Orgel the dog joined in the game barking wildly and snapping at Neyaa's backside, Basaran laughed heartily. Eventually the chicken was cornered, as was Neyaa by Orgel and he tore a hole in her breeches, that were already straining to fit over child bearing hips.
Soon enough, Deredan arrived to take Neyaa to the festival. Basaran and Deredan already appeared to know one another so they shared a drink. Aanya the nurse arrived to take care of Branston, adding to Basaran's embarrassment as the lass clearly had her eye on him.
Basaran did not wish to go to the festival, and left Neyaa's house with her thanks ringing in his ears. It was a good day with good company and Neyaa now had the damned finest chicken coup in all of Breeland.

Neyaa and Deredan take a ride after the Festival.
