Dear Hirgonui Istuir
For months I have been out there.. Close to Echad Rond, keeping a watchful eye on the surrounding lands.. I have been drawing new maps, several times. I have used time on each detail in the nature, comparing them to my older ones to see anything unusual, to see if there is any changes worth notifying. There aren’t many visible changes, nor much trace of our enemy. The maps does not reflect the changes I sense.
I learned a lot from Culir when he taught me how to track and note every detailed change and draw different maps with regards to that..
But there are changes, but I do not know how to describe on this parchment.. There is this terrible silence.. There is no rolling sound from the stones, no rustling branches on the trees. There are no birds singing. There is nothing, just this terrible silence.. My horse is unsettled, her ears are shifting direction as if in desperate need to hear sounds.. Or does she hear much that the ears of an Elleth cannot hear? I do not know.. This silence makes me uncomfortable, but I cannot leave, I need to be vigilant.
I just called for one of the Hawks and have written this message you hold now. I do have concerns, or is it this solitude that makes my head spin. I do not know.. I decided to visit the next camp next to Echad Rond, to see if the silence will cease.. Maybe there are items that need to be repaired there or supplies to be refilled. Perhaps some tasks would make me calm and the silence will disappear I do not know..
I just wish I wasn’t alone right now.. Do you think my concerns are valid? or do you think I should keep myself busy? I need guidance Hirgonui.
