Andufion

Her canine companions were curled around the legs of the bench where Alkawen was sitting.  The elf was writing in her journal as she heard the sound of the entrance door opening but she did not look up.  She closed the book and set it on the bench beside her as she looked to the doorway to see Gilvendir, which for her was not unexpected.

Standing then walking over to the Ranger, her hounds casually lifted their heads but made no effort to join her.  Alkawen took note of this behaviour as she walked to greet Gilvendir.  After polite greetings, the Hiril invited the Man to see the rest of the manor and when he was through she asked him to join her at the planning table.  The ranger replied that he could see the furnishings at any time then followed her directly to the table, covered in maps and other instruments of paper.

Lifting one of those papers from the table, Alkawen handed it to Gilvendir, explaining that she wished to ask for him to complete a task for the Order.  He was asked to collect an guest of the Order at Dolindîr and escort him safely to Arrowhaven, if he would agree to do so.  Reaching out to scratch Byr, the smaller hound, behind the ears, the Man accepted the task and took his leave.

A bird took flight from Arrowhaven shortly after the meeting between Alkawen and Gilvendir, winging his way to Esteldin with a message for the Elven guest of the Order.
