A Sealed Summons

The waters of Lake Evendim carress the shore in soft splashes as if in time to the rythmic whispers of the leaves as a cool northerly breeze winds its way through the trees on the western shore of Tinnudir. The day is waning as night begins to creep over the lands.

"This came for you Gil."

Sitting down against a tree, at the shores of Tinnudir, is Gilvendir. His green mottled cloak wrapped around him and hood raised, causing all but his mouth to be hidden beneath its shade. Upon hearing the mention of his name, he tilts his head slightly causing the shadow of his hood to move and reveal a little more of his face in the dim evening light, though his eyes are still hidden.

"From her," Calenglad adds softly as he tosses the sealed letter into Gilvendir's lap, though it is snatched from the air before it lands. Shaking his head with a shrug of his shoulders, he mutters as he walks off, "I'll get Culang to take over training the recruits."

A smile forms on Gil's face as his eyes follow the back of Calenglad for a moment, before he turns his attention to the sealed letter in his hand. Tilting the letter so that it catches the faint light coming from a campfire nearby, the image of the seal becomes clear to him and with a slight raise of his left eyebrow, he opens the letter and begins to read.

After having spoken to Culang about the training of recruits, Calenglad takes another glance over the camp and his eyes catch a glimpse of a green hooded figure that seemed to appear from within the trees. The figure strides through the camp in such a way that most others don't seem to notice he's there. Suddenly the flame of a campire blazes as the figure passes by, as if something was tossed into the fire. Letting his gaze follow the figure for a few moments more, he utters under his breath:

"May the stars guide you, brother."
