High over the golden crowns of the great Mallorn trees, the sunset were setting the sky afire, red and gold weaved together in endless harmony, a strong wind lifted her high over the magic forest and filled her heart with the greatest feeling of freedom as her huge wings sent her flying between the tops of the trees, never had she experienced such a deep feeling of peace and freedom.
''Iavasmeril.. Its time to wake up..'' The voice gently bought her back to reality and her face hold a confused expression as she opened her eyes, finding her father sitting on the bedside with a puzzled look
''Ada... Wait.. this isn't Mirkwood... Where are we ....?'' Sitting up in the soft bed she started to look around, find herself in a white tent of elfmade.
''We are in Caras Galadhon, Home to Lady Galadriel and the heart of Lothlorien..''
Wide went her eyes, taken by surprise she look at her father, first now noticing the black ash figure in his hand, words left her as they so often had these days and all she could was pointing to the figure, even more surprised as her father with a sad smile made a nod:
''Your friend found us apparently, he left this for you, i don't think im that wrong if i say you surprised him quiet a bit with your presence.. and mine..''
Trying hard to hide the shock it was to her too as she reached for the figure, following the lines of her own crafting a long silent moment ''Nienili... What did he do in Mirkwood..''
Her father seemed embarrassed a moment ''Actually.. We had reached the border of Rhun.. If things hasn't changed much, we probably wasn't far from the home of his tribe..''
Surprised she found herself studying the man she had miss for so long, the only person who had always been there for her in the early centuries of her life and realized this was the first time she actually saw him in daylight, no hood could hide his features in the bright light from the sunset. ''You.. are an Avari... But Ada.. why didn't you told me..''
His little smile caught her slightly off guard ''Because I'm not, I'm less, its true i was once, but its long time ago and what difference would it have made? Wouldn't i still be your father, Iavasmeril?''
Slowly she nodded and found that his heritage meant nothing at all to her, it didn't matter, he was her father after all ''Nienili left.. right..?'' The responds wasn't needed, she already knew it and knew she wouldn't reach him before Rivendell, she had to stay in Lothlorien.
Their freedom in the city was quiet a surprise, no one looked strange after any of them as they found their was to higher point of the city, watching the first stars replace the fading light of the sun on the sky.
''I.. Have actually made a request for you to Galadriel..''
Forelire didn't look at him, but the tune of her voice said more than needed how little she liked that fact ''Why? Isn't it to waste her time? What kind of request even..?''
A smiled formed upon his lips as he refused to answer, just leading her down the ladder towards the edge of the city, darkness closed in around them but never made it made them worried, small lights lead peoples way around both on ground and in the high, bright lanterns marked their way as they passed the small gate to a garden.
Brilliant patches of colorful flowers and clear springs, made the fireflies who lived here shine like a ocean of stars, but even its incredible beauty, nothing could keep her gaze from the small pedestal in the heart of the garden, drawn closer without noticing, Forelire found herself staring down into a empty bowl her father soon filled with clean water ''Its known as Galadriel's mirror.. People says its magic.. that you can see past, presence and future in it.. ''
Moments passed as they waited for the water to be calm and when it did, Forelire could no longer hold her curiosity, staring into the depths of the well, her brows soon furrowed deeply by doubt and a heartbreaking sigh leaving her lips ''Its wasted on me.. All i see is Mother..''
A soft chuckle made her look up at her dad, that suddenly reached over the well, releasing her thick long chestnut brown hair from its usual braid form, once again pointing to the mirror: ''I dont think so''
Not even then the truth striked her, for the mirror held no picture of her mother only by herself: ''What are you trying to tell me, Ada...?''
He smiled softly as he saw her lack of understanding ''Iavasmeril.. The mirror don't need to be magic to give you the answers you need.. What i'm trying to say, is that you are'nt your mother.. You are yourself and no one else, its by time to stop trying be someone else.. for both of us and that's why i gonna stay in Lothlorien.. I can help them here, but you have to go home..''
Rings spread in the well as her tears hit the surface, a nod was all she could manage as he hold her tight and only a hour passed before she was seen leaving the city of Lothlorien, again out on her search for answers.
