Fatal Bequest - Thousandfold Disarray in the North

Since several moons, the Elven-Councils have experienced reports from wanderers and scouts, regarding unusual attacks and trespassing. The fact that these assaults occurred mainly at Night and in the form of terrible ambushes lets the council waste no time upon investigation. Furthermore they urged everyone to stay on roads known to be safe, as well as never to travel alone.
Descriptions of the assailants are scarce. Those who have survived and were able to flee say they have been attacked by "[...] a tall and slender shadow that was suddenly among us, cutting us down like a scythe in the high grass." The theory that it was unusual Orc trickery was undone via a report from a warden of the vale of Imladris, who had ventured into the Misty Mountains with his trainee and was just as well assailed by a mysterious foe during one of his lessons. The council is glad to inform that both the lord and his recruit are well and sound and have by now returned back to Rivendell.
After the brutal death of Master Dorondir of Imladris, presumably by one of the elusive assailants, the council turns now to his brother Narôsil to investigate these attacks and murders. Furthermore does the council hope to find more righteous and valiant representatives of the Free Peoples who would aid in lifting this mystery.
