Tribulations Without Trials

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Arriving at his chambers, Parnard found Estarfin sitting in his usual place, a deep arm-chair, staring at the fire. The room was fitted up in a style of elegant splendour, containing many fine pictures and a gilt bird cage, empty of any occupant. Parnard had come home one day to find his twittering songbird dead, and he had not the heart to get another, nor could he bring himself to remove the golden cage.

Waiting Is Vanity

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

The crystal phial flashed brilliantly as it caught the rays of the mid-day sun streaming through the open window. He rolled the half-empty container between the fingers and thumb of his right hand, his left sitting motionless in his lap. The dull amber liquid within the glass tube flowed lazily as he moved it, the contents seeming to match his mood as he sat near to the open window. The fresh winds of the Valley pushed the lank hair from his face and carried with it the sweet scents of honeysuckle and jasmine, yet it stirred nothing in him.

Brewing Blackstar

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

”Blackstar can be used purely for enjoyment, and is generally safe for adults in that matter, but it can also be used for medicinal purpose. It lowers anxiety, speeds up recovery and slows the weakening of body from inactivity in general. Whoever drinks it will get a sensation of warmth, and makes them feel more content.”

A Letter to Talkale

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Sir

The morning has given me a little less unquiet than last night, when the sight of you made me very tired. I have reflected on matters since, and now I wish to better explain my indignation and dissatisfaction.

Trying Times

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story
Talkale strode back and forth frantically, his usually immaculate hair looking untidy where he had been running a hand through it. He occasionally took a sip from a crystal glass containing deep red wine. His robes made a faint rasping sound as the silks ran over each other as he moved. His movements ceased when his companion finally spoke.
