Norliriel And Themodir

I have not kept track of my painting in the last days too often in the form of Tengwar – since the brush strokes of light, shadow and colours are also a language, I have let it speak instead. But now that the unveiling feast of two portraits, of Norliriel and the late Themodir is quickly nearing, I decided to hold my quill for a moment.

Norliriel's portrait is already done, and I have also applied to it what Manadhlaer suggested. I have applied a few small details of expression with a few spots of light – I hope it is of her liking.

But thinking of Manadhlaer, I really wonder what her reaction will be, since she is the widow of Themodir. I have tried my best to make Themodir look – let's say it thus – alive. I paid a lot of attention to his face and his personality, to make his presence as real and warm as possible while he is in Mandos, or perhaps even in Valinor. If he cannot speak to Manadhlaer directly, my wish is that his portrait is able to. Hopefully his Hammer brothers will also see that it's him.

His face is ready, and there is much attention that I paid to his eyes.

I have already thought of remaking the portrait of my sister some time after after the feast. Since Danel encouraged me to take the brush again, my skills have awaken again.

I will soon meet some of my kin again, in less than an hour. But what has become of Raolor and others who are no longer in the House, and held Themodir as important, I wonder.

But for now, it is time for me to catch up on the news.
