Event details:
While the world may make weary the heart, edhil (elves) of the Falathlorn gather for casual conversation and entertainment to lift their spirits. Even as friends and loved ones gradually make the final journey there to sail West, they'll share the latest events with mirth and good cheer among fellow edhil of Lindon. News, stories, poems, music and dancing are common and welcome, so feel free to share in what ever delights you. Each week it's different but one thing remains the same, friendship and fellowship shared beneath the stars.

Update 27 May 2019
--LiL members may not always be present --
Due to a desire to forward our own story arcs and limited time during to week to do this, Loth-i-Lonnath members may not always be present specifically at this weekly gathering depending on the RP that week; however, we want to keep this event ad up so that there is a lore-friendly elven RP option in Lindon for players at a unified weekly time and place. You will certainly see LiL members around if you're coming to this regularly. You will also find others like yourself looking for some elven RP. If you're seeking to RP specifically with us and you don't happen to see one of us on this night, contact Lothoniel via in-game mail.
About this Event:
Established by Loth-i-Lonnath, this informal gathering is for elven roleplayers who's characters live in (or are visiting) the Lindon area (Celondim, Duillond, Mithlond, etc...). This regular gathering encourages meaningful lore-observant elven RP in a friendly environment and aspires to bring elven roleplayers together. Every week it's different. Some weeks there are several players, some weeks only a few. Sometimes RP will lead players off to different areas as well. Elves will come and go so length of time of this event can vary from 1 to 3 hours depending. Since this an informal public gathering, not everyone there will be a member of Loth-i-Lonnath and our members may or may not be present depending on what we're doing with our own RP that week. Just enjoy the RP of the elves you run into.
About Location:
When there isn't a LOTRO festival, seek RPers at the Duillond dance area.
When there is a LOTRO festival, seek RPers at the Fish Fountain on the north side of Duillond. It's tucked away in a corner out of the way of festival traffic.
All of Duillond is a stage for RP which means elven RPers could be anywhere. Just look for emotes and /say if you're unsure.
Remember to be /rp on and walk to let others know you're available for RP.
Roleplaying Notes:
Imagine what it might have been like for the elves of the Grey Havens during this period of Middle-earth. There was much change and sadness with shadow, war and uncertainty. To the Grey Havens (Mithlond) is where many elves come to make the final journey west across the sea to Valinor. The journey just to get to the Grey Havens from other distant parts of the Middle-earth is dangerous, thus the Grey Watch (Mithdirith) of Loth-i-Lonnath tries to keep this journey safe for all elves by keeping regular patrols watching the road that leads to Lindon and the surrounding area. This can be a disheartening job for those that do it, thus when some are off duty, the reprieve offered in this gathering is most welcome. Elves (edhil), that live in Lindon who are not ready to sail West but rather live and work there, watch age old friends and loved ones board ships to Valinor. There is a mixture of emotions, sad and joyful in watching them leave. To lifts their hearts, they gather regularly for friendly discourse with mirth and shared entertainment or whatever comes their way. For even as many travel across the sea, in their hearts they know they will see each other again. On the horizon, reunion draws near.
• Elven focused roleplaying, so please bring an elf.
(Realistically, other races are rare in Elven lands and would come from places many weeks away such as the Shire and Bree. The shorter lived races more often fear and suspect the elves than would be found sharing a pint with one. Keep this in mind if you're trying to be 'different' by showing up with a non-elf. Furthermore, this is hosted by an elven kinship. We focus on elves who live in Lindon.)
• Lore focused, immersion role-play environment.
(We are serious about it being a lore friendly and RP immersion environment. Those found to be intentionally disruptive to the RP environment will be asked to leave. However, that being said, please be polite and role with things. Not everyone knows every detail of lore/dates/names/language - thus, bombastic lore police are not welcome. As a public event, we are only looking for a good effort, not perfection. If you're extremely knowledgeable about the lore, share that knowledge in a way that is constructive, not rude, argumentative, challenging or pointedly questioning in your RP chat. Gentle nudges are fine, but ultimately strive to simply enjoy being with other RPers who share similar passions as you, not pretentiously trying to show off how much more you know than other people. It's annoying and scares off new roleplayers who are trying to learn. Show that you truly have the grace of the Eldar and let the little things go)
• Music, stories, etc should fit the Middle-Earth setting.
(This really can't be said enough since I keep hearing people play things inappropriate to Middle-Earth on a regular basis. ABC files should not include popular/modern music. If we're humming the lyrics to "Baby's Got Back" while we're supposed to be in Middle-Earth, you're not getting it. Music should sound elven or at least attempt to. If you don't know what that means, either watch the LotR movies and LISTEN, or find something that sounds like Enya. If you're still confused, don't play music.)
• Outfits are casual.
(This is not a formal setting like a ball, so leave the fancy stuff in your vault. Dress is informally elven, like you were just passing by on your way to the market and happen to run into friends.)
• All /say conversation is assumed to be Sindarin (elven language) unless otherwise noted.
(Please denote other languages such as [W] Westron, [Q] Quenya, [K] Khuzdul etc, if your character is speaking something other than Sindarin. Not every character speaks or understands every language, and shouldn't, especially if you're not an elf. Sometimes this makes RP interesting. If you're going to use real Sindarin from time to time, it is customary to include translation for those who many not know. Commonly used words may not require this, such as Mae g'ovannen, as a greeting or Quenya farewell, Namárië.)
• No pets or weapons please.
• Be polite, respectful and remain in-character.
• Beginning elven roleplayers are welcome.
